Fall Colorado Art Shows 2025

Fall in Colorado: Six Art Exhibits You Won’t Want to Miss

As the air turns crisp and the mountains prepare for their winter coat, Colorado’s cultural calendar is heating up with one of the most exciting art seasons in years. From legendary Impressionists to groundbreaking contemporary voices, museums and galleries across the Front Range are ready to open their doors to locals and visitors alike.

Colorado’s fall art season isn’t just for locals—it’s a chance for visitors to pair outdoor adventures with world-class culture. Whether you’re catching golden aspen views by day or stepping into a gallery at night, these exhibitions offer another way to experience the state’s creative energy.

Here are six exhibitions worth adding to your fall itinerary.

Camille Pissarro at the Denver Art Museum | Oct. 26 – Feb. 8

A large estate and green garden
A rare chance to immerse yourself in the work of Camille Pissarro, a cornerstone of Impressionism. This sweeping retrospective gathers more than 80 paintings, drawings, and still lifes from international collections, offering audiences a deeper look at an artist often overshadowed by Monet and Renoir. It’s the first U.S. survey of Pissarro’s work in more than four decades.

Black Cube Headquarters Grand Opening | Through Dec. 12

What We Hold On To
Known for staging exhibitions in unexpected places, Black Cube celebrates its tenth anniversary with a new permanent space in Englewood. Their inaugural show, What We Hold On To, fills a repurposed warehouse with bold works exploring memory, storage, and transformation. Featuring artists like Amber Cobb and Cristóbal Gracia, the exhibition marks a milestone in Black Cube’s ongoing experiment with nomadic art.

Todd Siler at the Museum of Outdoor Arts | Oct. 18 – Feb. 13

6 art shows worth seeing in Denver in fall 2025
The Museum of Outdoor Arts is back after a multi-year hiatus, reopening with a retrospective of Colorado-based artist Todd Siler. Over 50 pieces spanning five decades will be on display inside the reimagined Madden Gallery at Fiddler’s Green. Expect a mix of painting, sculpture, and conceptual works that highlight Siler’s reputation as both a visual artist and innovator.

Andrea Carlson at the Denver Art Museum | Oct. 5 – Feb. 16

Andrea Carlson | Denver Art Museum
Andrea Carlson, an Ojibwe-descended artist whose practice challenges conventional histories, takes center stage with her first major museum exhibition. Through layered paintings and a newly commissioned large-scale sculpture, Carlson redefines how stories of culture, power, and access are told. This is a forward-thinking addition to the DAM’s century-long focus on Indigenous art.

Roni Horn at MCA Denver | Sept. 12 – Jan. 25

Roni Horn
Celebrated contemporary artist Roni Horn returns to Colorado with Water, Water on the Wall, You’re the Fairest of Them All. The exhibition features sculpture, photography, and installation works rooted in Horn’s exploration of water as a metaphor for identity. Expect highlights like You Are the Weather, Part 2, a haunting series of portraits photographed in Iceland’s geothermal pools.

Deborah Jack at MCA Denver | Sept. 12 – Jan. 25

Deborah Jack
Deborah Jack brings her first Colorado solo exhibition to MCA with a multi-channel video installation that merges visuals of coastlines from Brazil, St. Maarten, Louisiana, and Maine. By weaving together themes of climate change, erosion, and resilience, Jack creates a meditative experience that connects distant landscapes to universal concerns about the planet’s future.
